Quadrille Fabrics and Wallpaper

Quadrille Wallpapers & Fabrics, Inc. was formed in 1969 to design and market wallpapers and fabrics to the interior design trade. Its brands, Quadrille, China Seas, Alan Campbell, Home Couture and Cloth & Paper, are offered through Inside Stores by request.

Quadrille was started by the noted fashion illustrator J. Hyde Crawford, who created Bonwit Teller’s distinctive “violets” logo. Quadrille offers fabrics and wallpapers reflecting a wide range of designs. In 1996, Quadrille, under the direction of its current owner, John S. Knott, purchased the brands China Seas and Alan Campbell. China Seas offers unique and authentic batiks and island-inspired patterns, while Alan Campbell features the bold graphic prints associated with 60s and 70s. Home Couture is known for its large- scale contemporary offerings and fresh color palette. 

Quadrille’s designs have been at the leading edge of the market for interior design fabrics since its inception and have been featured in countless magazine editorials and design books. Among the designers consistently using fabrics from Quadrille’s brands are Tom Scheerer, Mary McDonald, Carolyne Roehm, and Amanda Nisbet. For her new perfume promotion at Neiman Marcus, Tory Burch was photographed in front of a classic Home Couture design. Magazines featuring multiple-page editorials of Quadrille, China Seas, Alan Campbell, and Home Couture fabrics include Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Veranda, Elle Decor, and World of  tIneriors. Quadrille’s fabrics have been used extensively in exclusive hotels and resorts, including Hotel Bel Air, Ritz Carlton Naples, the Soho Grand, Il Pellicano, and the new BahaMar Hotel in the Baham
