KRAVET

Samuel Kravet, the founder of Kravet Fabrics, emigrated from Russia to the United States in 1903. He started working as a tailor in New York and later began creating decorative trimmings for his clients’ houses, contributing in this way to the development of the interior design industry. In 1923, with the aid of his sons, he started offering decorative fabrics. The business was so successful that the company began exporting in 1965 and establishing showrooms nationwide in 1970.

Kravet Inc. has been partnering for more than 100 years with architects and interior designers to provide great options in accessories, carpets, drapery hardware, fabrics, furniture, trimmings, and wallpapers for any residential or commercial decorative projects.

The family’s commitment to service, quality and innovation has helped the brand to transform from a small fabric vendor to an international leader, representing brands and designers from all over the world, such as Alexa Hampton, Barbara Barry, Barclay Butera, Candice Olson, Diane von Furstenberg, Joseph Abboud, Michael Berman, Michael Weiss, Oscar de la Renta, Sarah Richardson, Thom Filicia, and Vicente Wolf.
