At The WorkRoom, we want to ensure you're completely satisfied with your purchase. Please carefully review our return policy to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Fabric & Wallpaper Returns
We want you to be thrilled with your purchase, so please take a moment to review your order carefully before confirming. Due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns on fabric or wallpaper unless there is a manufacturer defect, shipping damage, or if the wrong item was sent. All sales are final.
To ensure everything is perfect, we recommend inspecting your order as soon as it arrives. Please check the item, color, quantity, and style to confirm everything is correct. If you notice any issues, our Customer Service team is here to help—just reach out, and we’ll assist you promptly.
Fabric and wallpaper cannot be returned for credit after it has been cut, altered, or installed. Yardage must be inspected for flaws, and correctness of pattern, color, quantity, and quality before cutting. If fabric or wallpaper has been processed or installed in any way, it cannot be returned for credit. No returns or cancellations will be accepted on any custom or special-order items once the order is in production.
Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive fabric or wallpaper that is defective* or damaged, please contact us immediately at sales@theworkroom.llc or call 800-497-8042 within 30 days of receiving your order. We’ll work with the brand to arrange a return authorization for the defective item and send you a return label by email. Once we receive the returned item, we’ll promptly send a replacement, or if the item is out of stock, we can issue a full refund.
Important: All damage claims must be made within 30 business days of receiving your order.
Please note that items shipped back to us without pre-approval and a return authorization number will not be accepted and will be returned to you.
Inspection Before Installation
We recommend inspecting all products prior to installation. If any issues are noticed, please stop the installation process and reach out to us for assistance.
Important: CLAIMS FOR LABOR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Please ensure throuough inspecton before proceeding with any work. It is recommended that the product is inspected prior to installation and installation is stopped if any issues/concerns arise. These guidelines can prevent unnecessary labor charges from occurring.
Dye Lot Variance
Please note that dye lot variations are not considered defects. We cannot issue credits for dye lot variations. Buyer agrees to accept the current dye lot offered by the manufacturer. If you under-order, we cannot guarantee that additional quantities will match the original dye lot.
A sample comes from a random dye lot and is intended solely to help you determine if you want the design. Samples are not dye lot specific, and actual dye lots may differ from the sample. For the exact color, we suggest ordering a cut-for-approval (available only for fabrics).
Important: Swatch colors may vary from finished fabrics and wallpapers due to dye lot variations.
Natural Fiber Variations
Please note that natural fiber fabrics, such as cotton and wool, may vary from dye lot to dye lot. Natural fibers take dyes differently due to the material’s inherent properties.
Similarly, natural fiber wallpapers, such as grasscloth and wood, may vary in color from different lots. Even within the same lot, some variation is expected, as this is intrinsic to natural fibers. These items are expected to panel (visible seams) and show color variation within the dye lot.
Due to variances in monitors, the colors and patterns displayed may vary from the actual product. For color and pattern representation, we highly recommend ordering a swatch/sample or a cutting for approval. Items are non-returnable if the color does not meet your expectations.
Different screens display colors differently, so colors on your screen may appear different from the actual fabric. This is why it’s always best to order a sample or cutting first. Please note that actual yardage is not returnable if you are dissatisfied with the color.
Wallpaper Orders
Please order wallpaper carefully, as all sales are final. If you need advice, it’s a good idea to consult with a professional wallpaper installer before placing your order. When ordering wallpaper, it’s always recommended to order extra to account for pattern repeats.
We do not accept returns for overage on wallpaper, we do recommend keeping your item(s) for future refurbishment or to use as an accent piece in smaller areas. You may want to refurbish areas that show wear over time and/or use remaining product on accent pieces such as shelving units.
Inspection Upon Receipt
Upon receipt of fabric or wallpaper, please carefully inspect everything before cutting or installing. Confirm that you’ve received the correct items and quantities.
No Returns After Cutting or Installation
We want you to love your fabric and wallpaper! To ensure satisfaction, please inspect your order upon receipt to confirm the pattern, color, quantity, and quality are correct. Once fabric or wallpaper has been cut, altered, processed, or installed, it cannot be returned or credited.
Please note that custom and special-order items cannot be canceled or returned once production has begun. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out—we're here to help!
International Orders
Please note that all international orders are final, and we do not accept returns or exchanges, except in the case of shipping damage caused by our carrier. If you're using a third-party shipping service, please reach out to them directly for assistance with any damages incurred during shipping.
The WorkRoom does not provide warranty services for international orders.
