Announcing the Albert Hadley Collection from Scalamandre
As one half of the storied design firm Parish-Hadley – Albert Hadley defined American interior style through creating inspiring spaces for everyone from Oscar de la Renta to Brooke Astor and Jackie Onassis. In early 2000, Hadley partnered with Harry Hinson to bring a collection of textiles and wallcoverings to life. Today, The House of Scalamandré is excited to share these designs with the interior design industry once again.
One of the most celebrated designers of the 21st century, Albert Hadley, has left his indelible mark on the world of textiles and interiors. His combination of classic and transitional styles translates through coordinating textiles and wallcovering patterns, adored by all. These prints may be used as both drapery and upholstery weight fabrics when backed, allowing them to be versatile in use. Each item is beautifully hand printed with elements of bold colors and neutrals that play off of these timeless graphic patterns, and are still in demand after more than 20 years since originally designed.
Adding more flexibility to the collection, designs inspired by Hadley's Trixie and Fireworks have been interpreted as an embroidery, bold linen print and a durable vinyl grasscloth.

TRIXIE
Albert Hadley's Trixie features one of his favorite design elements, the star. He often used star-shaped mirrors in his installations and was a fan of Moravian light fixtures. With this hand-printed wallcovering he had a focus on architecture and a touch of whimsy, playing with a small-scale combination of a graphic star and dot detail against plain ground. It's not a surprise to see Trixie used frequently on ceilings with its glowing, celestial nature.
BIG TRIXIE
Hadley's Trixie has been reinterpreted in a larger scale, featuring the same graphic stars and dots; however, this version is printed on a textured, type II vinyl, faux-grasscloth – which is perfect for a children’s room or any high traffic area of the home.
