Using Schumacher Fabrics Like A Pro

My favorite activity in springtime is to visit as many showcase homes as I can. It is where I find the best original ideas and inspirations for my own home as well as my clients. 

I mentioned several times in this blog that Schumacher is my favorite fabric line of all time. I'm not the only one though, as this is a line used most frequently by interior designers around the world--especially in showcase homes.

The recent Kipps Bay showhouse features many Schumacher fabric patterns that are quite stunning. Here are some examples of how designers use Schumacher fabrics to gorgeous effects.  See if you can apply some of these ideas as inspirations for your home.

Designed by Paloma Contreras, this garden room features Dogwood Leaf on the chairs, pillows and cushions; Lange Glazed Linen on Sofa and Cushion; Lange Glazed Linen on draperies and valance; Wellfleet Ticking Stripe on pillows and cushions; Kiko Paperweave in Natural on the walls.

Designer Amanda Reynal designed this cheerful terrace. Schumacher fabric used are Ravello Indoor/Outdoor; Juno Fringe on pillows, Rousseau tape on pillows; Elton Cotton Check on pillows; Bouquet Toss on sofa; Ravello Indoor/Outdoor on awning, Castille Tape on awning and Forest Pink on Pillows.

Designer Catherine Austin designed this colorful guest house, featuring Fern Mustard on the tablecloth and Piet Performance Linen on the draperies.

Can a closet be this pretty?  Here designer Barbara Lewis transformed this space into an inviting oasis.  Featured here are Chevron Ikat on canopy and draperies, Zoe green in the canopy linen, Fern Mustard on the slipper chairs; Sandpiper tape for trimmings, and Sepiessa Yellow on the settee and bench.

The primary bedroom designed by Ashley Gilbreath features Brentwood Stripe on the ceiling and curtains.
